I installed the following packages and the error is changed


sudo apt-get install gstreamer1.0-libav libav-tools libavcodec-extra libavdevice-extra-53 libavfilter-extra-3 libavformat-extra-54 libavutil-extra-52 gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-multiverse gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly gstreamer0.10-pulseaudio gstreamer0.10-alsa gstreamer1.0-alsa gstreamer1.0-vaapi transcode mjpegtools aac-enc faac x264 mencoder


Now the error is:

2014-06-04 18:32:01.895 [ ERROR] libav: Specified sample_fmt is not supported.
2014-06-04 18:32:01.895 [ ERROR] transcode: Unable to open libvo_aacenc encoder

What can I do?

I have same problem with the aac audio. This has been working before, so it must be something in later versions that has broken this.

+1 with the same problem. I would like to know if someone solved. Found a Bug reference at https://tvheadend.org/issues/2042, but apparently it is still open.

Just to add another element. The problem persists only with ubuntu 14.04 not with 12.04.

I confirm problem with ubuntu 14.04 and no acc problem with ubuntu 12.04.

Ditto on the 14.04 but not 12.04 issue for aac transcoding.

I have the same problem, using 14.04.
