Did you copy the firmware files from the dvbsky support site to /lib/firmware ?

I remember my first attempts with debian didnt work too.
So i try ubuntu 13.10 with Kernel 3.10.x and everything works fine.

You can try Ubuntu 14.04 (comes with Kernel 3.13.x) or switch to
Ubuntu 13.10.

Did you try building the media-build drivers from dvbsky?

I have 2 dvbsky tuners a 952 and a 9580 some of the tuners are not fully supported in the kernel patch (I asked them a few times about it).

So you should try build and install the media-build drivers if you are having issues.

they have a link to the instructions on how to build them aswel incase you need it / have any issues with installing them.

yes, I've follow this guide....

I've copied the firmware in the right path...

I've tried with debian (with different kernel on atom Pc)

Now I'm testing on Ubutu desk 14.04 LTS on virtual machine (vmware)(Intel® Core™ i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz × 4 )

But the result it's the same...

Any suggestion, trik, magic?

tnks!

Yes, same usb/sat cable, same position....

RE: Problem with dvbSky 960C USB - Added by Nitaro Frost over 10 years ago

Can you try another sat cable and jack ?
I´ve read another hint, maybe it can be helpfull:
Make a copy of dvb-fe-ds300x.fw, rename it to dvb-fe-ds3000.fw and
restart system.

Otherwise...here is my complete Setup running on Intel Atom:

- Ubuntu 13.10 32bit Kernel 3.11.0-19-generic
- After fresh install run "apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade"
- DVBsky latest media-build-bst drivers
- TVheadend 3.9.470~g6482d33 download from [[here]http://pam.lonelycoder.com/file/76d092251f486537679b158921aad10d7be538fb]
- Install with dpkg -i tvheadend_3.9.470~g6482d33~precise_i386.deb

Trythe newest version of tvheadend from here:

https://tvheadend.org/builds/tvheadend/build/4755

along with the latest 3.14.2 kernel

Thats what I am using without hassle.

You will need to redo your config though.
