Recording question

If I schedule a programme for recording, just to the left of the Record Program button is a dropdown menu with just Default as a choice. Can anyone tell me what it's for? I was hoping it might be a way of nominating a folder to put the recording in. With my current system that I'm moving off (Topfield/MyStuff) when I schedule a series record I can choose a target folder, so I can distinguish between things recorded for me, the wife, or both of us.

It's for the recording profile. Configuration -> Recording -> Digital Video Recorder.

You can specify a different target directory here, start/stop padding, container, naming convention, etc.

That's great, thanks. I wondered if there was a way to specify a target folder at the time of setting up the recording. My wife wouldn't take kindly to episodes of Top Gear appearing in her folder, nor would I like to see mine filled with 100 episodes of The Big Bang Theory.

Ah, yes - because one of those programmes has a lead character who is narcissistic, has no social skills, and upsets people by saying inappropriate things... and the other is the Big Bang Theory.
