tvheadend writing continuously in logfile on Synology DS412+ NAS
Added by d. ha almost 11 years ago
I've running a Synology DS412+ NAS with Sundtek VU+ Media Digital Home DVB-C Stick.
Recording works fine.
The only problem i have is that the NAS is not going into the sleeping mode anymore. All drives are permanently running. (I already asked in the synology forum for some help/advice, but didn't get some).
The logfile (/var/log/mediasrv.log) is continuously written by tvheadend (which prevents the disks going into sleeping mode):

Do you have any idea why this is done, or how it can be stopped?
Or where to change the path of the logfile?
Thanks for any help or ideas!

All I can you is that file is not written by tvheadend. More likely is written by something related to the hardware. Sundtek?

Create or modify the configuration file on your system:
/etc/sundtek.conf
loglevel=off
the default is minimal and enabled by default, when this line shows up that means that tvheadend is reading the current status from the tuner.
Maybe we'll turn off the loglevel by default in the future to avoid such confusions.

Thanks a lot.
Adding the "loglevel=off" to the sundtek.conf file stops the logging.
I'll see until tomorrow whether the NAS is now going into sleeping mode again or not.
Thanks again for your fast support!
