No dvb-s2 muxes

Added by piotr w almost 11 years ago

Hi,

I've recently added a Technisat USB 2 HD CI tuner to my setup (Ubuntu + latest stable Tvheadend).

I've added a satconf (hotbird, port 0, default lnb), added hotbird from the list "add dvb ..etc". It finds 95 muxes but they are dvb-s and none are dvb-s2. The technisat is a dvb-s2 capable tuner.

Is this a tvheadend issue, driver issue, user error ? Any suggestions ?

ps: the muxes are in channels.conf ? Is there site that can generate this file for a specific sat/provider (I'm looking for Hotbird and provider NC+, former cyfra+/N-ka).

your best option is to look at a site like http://www.kingofsat.net/ or http://www.lyngsat.com/ for details of one of the muxes and add it in manually. also make sure you have auto detect muxes set on your card and it should pick up the other missing muxes over a short amount of time. I fount this out when I was looking for a channel on my moving dish. you may need to add more than one to get your full channel list though.

The muxes on a satellite contain links to other muxes of the same provider only (most the time) and Tvheadend only contains some of the muxes on a satellite so it doesn't add all muxes available without some manually added ones.

Thanks for your input Gary. I've tried adding a dbv-s2 mux manually but on the sites you mentioned, I can't find the "baudrate" that I have to enter in Tvheadend.

ps: There's no site/tool that can generate a list of muxes for tvheadend ?
