HD DVB-T2 channels not found
Added by steve parry about 11 years ago
Hi all,
First things first, I'm loving the tvheadend experience over the mediaportal system I used to use.
But I have a problem with the dvb-t2 HD channel, theyre not found when scanning my transmitter.
I live in the UK and my local transmitter is Emily Moor (AFAIK).
My DVB-t2 card is a PCTV Systems DVB-T2 290e nanoStick HD TV Tuner.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks

You could install w_scan and get the frequency from that, then just use that and 8mz with everything else on auto in tvh setup. The HD mux carries details for all the others but the SD muxes don't carry details for the HD mux.
I have a 290e and it works OK with tvh for me.
Another way would be to use - http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/coveragechecker/main/index/dummy/NA/yes
But that gives channel numbers, to convert -
For channel number N frequency in Hz =
(306 + (N x 8)) x 1000000
If the channel number has a + or - after it add/subtract 167000

Hi Andy,
What is this w_scan and where could I get more info on how to use it. I'm a bit of a newb with this sort of thing.
Cheers

You can get your frequencies from here:
http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=SE222128
Just make sure that all the muxes are showing in tvheadend, and add any that are missing. Add the frequency in kHz (634000), select 8 MHz bandwidth, leave everything else as auto, and it should kick into life.

Brilliant that worked great.
Thank you.
