Tvheadend end multi tuners
Added by Mark Gabb over 11 years ago
Ok it might be that I have absolutely no idea as to what I'm doing but I have tvheadend installed on dsm 4.2
Got the kworld ub499 2t and a avertech volar m
The avertech doesn't detect but I can accept that
The kworld detects as two tuners but when recording it seems to only pick it up as there being one tuner
I try to record a second program and it tells me resource is already in use? Did I miss something when setting it up? Or is it a common issue with the kworld that it doesn't record on the second tuner?
Thanks in advance

Both tuners on the Kworld do work for recording - you need to configure them separately though and ensure the services are mapped onto the same channels.
One thing I have noticed with mine is that the signal strength reported by the second tuner is lower than the first so you need to ensure a strong signal is provided.
Easy check - go to the DVB Input where the device name is shown as "Kworld UB499-2T T09*_1*" - click multiplexes and ensure they are all enabled, then on the "Services" tab check all the channels are enabled and mapped.
Now repeat the process for the second tuner "Kworld UB499-2T T09*_2*" - the Channel Name needs to be identical

awesome work this worked perfectly for me, just needed to reboot nas afterwards and it is working wonderfully
now i just need to make it so i dont have to copy and paste the file after recording to make it visible
