Anyone help? CAN NOT "Map DVB services to channels"

Added by Dennis Pun almost 12 years ago

Could any please help?

i am using QNAP TS-119(firmware 3.6.1), TVtuner - MyGica D689 (http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/MyGica_D689)

I can successfully install the tvheadend (3.3.183~g5d2197c).

But i CAN NOT "Map DVB services to channels" (It is greyed.)

From TV Adapters scanning, sometime it shows Signal Strength as 60% on some frequency...but still no service

Here is my setting
Configuration -> TV Adapters ->
Network by location: Hong Kong

Adapter configuration ->
Autodetect muxes: x (checked)
Skip initial scan:
Idle scanning: x (checked)
Close device handle when idle:
Skip service availability check when mapping: x (checked)
Use SID as channel number during mapping:
Monitor signal quality: x (checked)
Full mux reception: off
Disable PMT monitoring:
Original Network ID: 0
Extra priority: 0

Thank you very much

Hi,
Can you remove "monitor signal quality", and also "skip service availability check" .
(in some cases, the "monitor signal quality" makes the perceived signalstrength go to zero, as seems to be the case with some of your muxes).
Then restart, and see if some services come up .

Are the mux-frequencies and settings correct?

Alex.

Thanks,

but it doesn't work.

for the mux-frequency, it should be correct, because i cross check on the web.

but for Constellation, Transmission mode, Guard Interval, Hierarchy, FEC HI, FEC Lo, these settings not sure.

And i tried to plug the USB to window and use TotalMedia(software come with the TV Tuner), it works to search all the channel, that's signal of my antenna should be ok.

Ok, but still I would keep "monitor signal quality" unused; You might need all muxes before any usefull information is transmitted (some companies use one or only a few muxes to send all service-information, and if you don't have that one you wont find services).

but for Constellation, Transmission mode, Guard Interval, Hierarchy, FEC HI, FEC Lo, these settings not sure.

Linux-tv has lists, maybe check here:

( from your card I assume you use dvb-t)

Hi Alex,

Only this 2 mux have signal detected. But even these 2 mux are detected, but it still no service to be found, and CAN NOT "Map DVB services to channels"

4 # TVB (band 35)
5 T 586000000 8MHz AUTO NONE QAM64 8k 1/32 NONE
6 # ATV (band 37)
7 T 602000000 8MHz AUTO NONE QAM64 8k 1/32 NONE

My Card support DMB-TH

From below link, seem it is a driver bug on linux 2.6.33 kernel

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/702287

anyone know how to resolve?
