Help to setup tvheadend on Synology
Added by Møller Larsen about 12 years ago
I have a DS712 + when I want to install TVHeadend.
There's two network inputs on my ds will I use one for my internet connection and the other for my ip tv connection.
But then the question is whether the above can be done?
Can I configure it so that ETH01 is the Internet and ETH02 is IP TV?
Or is there something else to it can be done?
I have ip address of the various TV streams

I wish someone could help! I'm on DS1512+ and struggling with the setup too. One thing I can help you with is, first step: add this repository and install tvheadend

Then i'm stuck with HDHomerun3, detecting 27 Services but can't map any services to a channel. No clues how to debug this at all.

Hi,
do you reboot after installing tvheadend and the hdhomeru3 the synology?
I'm on a 1511+ with the same package but with a dvb-c from Sundtek.
First everything was a little complicated, but after reboot the DS it works fine now.

Hi Eric,
which Browser do you use?
I use normally Safari on Mac OSX ... but yesterday i saw that tvheadend has severals problems with Safari. (First try i also had problem with Channel Mapping).
After a switch to Firefox everything was fine!
Performance under Safari ist terrible ... Don't know why till yet....

I'm on Chrome pretty much 99% of the time. I could try but anyways, Clicking Map DVB Services to Channels is supposed to output something else than just "Nov 01 23:12:40 web interface: Service probe started on "HDHomeRun ATSC 2" and then. nothing.
