Instructions needed for a SAT>IP receiver with diseqc switches

Added by Valentine Tull almost 4 years ago

I’m new to Tvheadend. Now that tvmosaic (https://tv-mosaic.com) have closed shop, I’m looking for a new platform.

I have the following set-up:

  • 1 x EyeTV Netstream 4Sat with 2 x 28.2E (UK Freesat) connections (2 x LNBs in total)
  • 1 x EyeTV Netstream 4Sat with 2 x Edision Diseqc Switch [2x1] (4 x LNBs in total):
  • * Diseqc: Pos A/A (LNB1 Diseqc1.0) 13E (Hotbird 13)
  • * Diseqc: Pos B/A (LNB2 Diseqc1.0) 28.2E
  • 1 x HDHomeRun CONNECT QUATRO
  • 3 x HDHomeRun CONNECT

All of these tuners are accessible from tvmosaic with no problems.

The EyeTV Netstream is SAT>IP compliant. I can use Tvheadend to tune the direct to LNB connected EyeTV with no issues.

However, I’ve tried to tune the EyeTV Netstream which is connected to two diseqc switches for days and days, to no avail.

I’m running Tvheadend 4.2.8-36~g5bdcfd8ac on a Ubuntu bionic container hosted on a QNAP NAS.

Has anyone got this configuration (SAT>IP with diseqc switches) working and is happy to share an example?

Thanks for your response. I've included the tvmosaic setup as a screen shot (which works).
!!
The tuning process using Tvheadend seems to break my tuner (requiring a reboot of the EyeTV receiver).

I've played with a number of variations, nothing seems to work on this tuner (which I can use with tvmosaic and SAT>IP viewer for channels on Hotbird 13 and UK Freesat [28.2])
