Initial Setup Problems Ubuntu Server + Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD (Germany)
Added by Marco Matuttis over 4 years ago
I have a problem finding any Channels with my setup. When I select pre-defined muxes for my region all will have the result fail after a short scan.
Since I'm new to this whole thing I'm not really sure what I'm doing and If I'm doing it right.
Any advice or help is appreciated. I'd even donate a small paypal amount for the ones that give me the right info to make it run.
Just for info:
When I test the stick on my Windows machine with WinTV 10 I find all the channels and everything is working perfectly. I also tried TV Mosaic on my Windows machine but I also do not find any channels with it. I find several entries but all with signal strenght 0%...
But since it is working perfectly with WinTV 10 I figured my cable etc. can't be the issue.

Frequency list is not correct activate NIT
predefined list is not 100% correct.
you can use
w_scan -f c -x > freqlist.txt
but stop tvh service before this

NIT = Network Discovery in network you made
Second guess if send to fridge or microwave they can do it
Of cource in terminal, then you will have nice freqlist.txt for next time you need it.

I have the w_scan running now.
When I create a new network in tvheadend and I dont use any of the predefined muxes.
How do I import the freqlist.txt ?
RE: Initial Setup Problems Ubuntu Server + Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD (Germany) - Added by Marco Matuttis over 4 years ago
I think I made a huge step. I started the wizard again. And did not use a predefined mux. I inserted the first entry of the freqlist.txt and now it found the other muxes automatically.
matu@mserver:~$ nano freqlist.txtGNU nano 4.3 freqlist.txt Modified
