Can't access streams that failed or have errors: asking for password
Added by blanka j almost 5 years ago
I'm in the web-UI of TV Headend, and under the tab "failed recordings" there is a list of recordings that either got truncated because of a full SD card, or because of reception errors.
I still want to download these streams to the computer as I can do with succesful recordings.
How do I lift the access control with username and password for the failed recordings? Really annoying, especially as I have no idea what to enter.
So prefered solution is dropping the request for username and password all together.

You don't say how you're doing that, so it's hard to know what you need here.

Under Configuration/Users, if you don't have one already you can create a user with the name * and no password. In the 'Video recorder' tab, make sure you have 'Failed view' selected.
If you're connecting to TVH with a web browser, the browser will default to whatever user you connected as last time unless you delete the appropriate cookie.
You could always access the recorded files via the filesystem.
