TechnoTrend TT-connect CT2-4650 CI
Added by Carsten Johansson over 5 years ago
Hi
I have got a new USB TV card to use to recording my TV show but I have problem to get them to work.
I did find this
https://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/TechnoTrend_TT-connect_CT2-4650_CI
But I can't get it to work.
I did before use a TBS TV card and it was a little funny that it did not work if it was a new kernel so I did use a old 16.04 ubuntu to get it to work.
I did try with this card to but still not working so now I'm not sure if it need a specific kernel to use so I was thinking ask here if someone here use the same TV card and
what Linux and kernel version works??

When TBS is installed it will not work.
use virtualisation to run it.

I have not TBS installed. I have remove the old Ubuntu and have no Linux connect to the TV card yet.
I just wonder what version of Linux I have to use to get it to work.
I was hopping that was more then me here that have that card and use that with TV headend.

Not sure what have happend
I did install the lastest version of ubuntu server 18.04.2 and run the update
After that I did download and move the file for the card to /lib/firmware/ and restart
After that I install tvheadend and was very happy that it find the TV-card and start to add channel and that also work so it make me very happy
After that I did download two XMLgrabber (I did not know what to pick) and the first one did fine but the other one make Everything just freeze so I did need to Power off and them Power on.
After that the TV card just stop working.
I then delete ubuntu and did create a new one with same as the other but now it does not start the TV card.
When I run the command you ask me for it gave me this

Until frontend registered message not appear it will not work.
Add new virtual machine with Ubuntu 14.04 for test

Linux does find it but it looks like it does not do so much.
I did even try with the Media build that LinuxTV have but same result.
I also have big problem to install the tvheadend with this old version of Ubuntu.
but not so much idea to Think about that when it does not load (I think it does not load).
When I did run the new version of ubuntu it did show some "dvb_usb_v2" and that but this old version does not show anything.
Maybe I can try to make a Media build for a new version of Ubuntu.
