Is there a guide for making bouquets?

bouquets should happen automatically... create a network, scan the MUXes, map all services (combine ones with same name etc), and then you should find Bouquets being created.

I have a mixture of DVB-S and DVB-T tuners.
I select only the channels I wish to view and map them.
I arrange the resulting list in the order that is desirable for me.
Having made that list, how do I create a bouquet from it that I could export and save or use on another install?
It should be a simple matter of creating a list like those from Enigma2 ...... SID and Channel Name ....... yet I cannot find any means to do this.
Am I missing something obvious?

In the above post when referring to SID I meant the Service Information Data, similar to that used for picons ...

It seems the info to do this is exposed using
<IP_Address>:9981/api/channel/grid
RE: How to make Bouquets - Added by Pure Isle over 6 years ago
I have been doing some tests using
<IP_Address>:9981/api/channel/grid?
but I cannot seem to get any more than 50 channels listed in the output.
Is there some related method I could use that would give the full list of channels in the output? ~120 channels.

Sure: /api/channel/grid?limit=999
By default, most API responses seem to limit the values returned to 50. You can manually adjust this.
For more information, check out these docs that another user has put together: https://github.com/dave-p/TVH-API-docs/wiki

Thank you!
Much appreciated.
I failed to find that info after days of searching.
That is a great resource you linked to.
Happy chappy and thank you again

I forgot about this thread so apologies for this late reply.
The above scheme generated a simple bouquet which worked well for the Satellite channels.
The file also had entries for the terrestrial DVB-T channels but were never seen as valid by tvheadend and so were never mapped.
Is it that tvheadend only maps DVB-S channels and not DVBt/C entries?
Is there something different to be done to get valid DBV-T entries in the bouquet?
I had not really bothered about this problem as I have only a few DVB-T channels so was not a hassle.
The situation would be different for someone using UK Freeview where the number of channels would be considerable.
Any pointers would be appreciated, thanks.

This is the basic format used for the DVB-S channels

I too am struggling with the same issue. I cannot seem to map DVB-C/T channels to the bouquets. I have only C/T channels and no services are seen.
Maybe it is an issue if anyone can confirm, otherwise will raise it as a bug?

I wondered if there should be some alternative '#SERVICE' detail for DVB-T/C channels?

I have this problem on an ARM build for Coreelec.
HTS Tvheadend 4.2.6-62 ~ CoreELEC Tvh-addon v9.0.116 Build: 4.2.6-62 ~ CoreELEC Tvh-addon v9.0.116 (2018-11-16T03:41:23+0000)
I checked an older Linux install of tvheadend and that does not have the problem
HTS Tvheadend 4.2.1 Build: 4.2.1 (2017-05-23T12:20:11-05:00)
The format of the entries are the same for the two builds, so that is not the problem.
RE: How to make Bouquets - Added by Pure Isle almost 6 years ago
@ Fiz Mi ....... on what are you using tvheadend?
Is it an Arm CPU?
What OS are you using?
Trying to find something in common between our two uses ......
RE: How to make Bouquets - Added by M Fizz almost 6 years ago
I am using CoreElec latest build.
I have now downgraded to 8.9.25 libreelec I have tried adding bouquet, it doesn't even let me add a bouquet now the interface just hangs and I have to restart it.
the addon version appears to be the same.

Maybe try an old version of LE ..... something in the 7 series ..... on a clean SD card.
If it is available ....
