Use Stalker IPTV As Source

Added by JakedUp Support almost 7 years ago

Some IPTV providers only allow you to use a real Stalker-compatible STB, such as a MAG box or Dreamlink box. In other words, your account is tied to your MAC address (and sometimes serial number), and therefore require a STB or STB emulator in order to function. Is it possible to do this with Tvheadend? I have searched around and could not find an answer to this question anywhere!

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but is this for using Stalker as an output? If so, that's not what I'm asking. I want to be able to use a Stalker sub as a source.

I use Kodi via LibreELEC installed on Raspberry Pi 3. I installed Tvheadend and tried working with m3u8 lists. Everything works fine, I can watch and record and schedule a recording.

The problem is that I have PVR and EPG over the Stalker PVR addon - free. I don't have a list but a MAC address and URL - I thought I'd enter it but it doesn't work because Tvheadend is looking for a path to the list. Of course I also have the URL for the EPG - I also entered it, same message :-)

Is there any way for Tvheadend to accept a MAC address or for example to convert a MAC address to a list? Does Tvheadend actually work with a Stalker client? I researched for several days on the internet, Google or YouTube, but could not find the answer.

Any updates on this one? I would like to use stalker iptv as a source instead of DVBS? Is it possible?
