Raspbian Stretch Pi armhf Repository problem??
Added by Phil Hawker about 7 years ago
Hi - I'm trying to set up a TVHeadend Server on a Raspbian Stretch Lite Raspberry Pi 2B as per the instructions at the end of here:
https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/wiki/AptRepository
but have hit problems with the Bintray/mpmc repository, as per the following messages:

I've tried adding "allow-insecure=yes" to the repository entry in /etc/apt/sources.list but still get 404s on the Packages file from apt-get, and a "Forbidden!" when trying to to browse to it directly. Is there a problem with the repository at present or am I doing something wrong?

My Repo has been rate limited by bintray, I'm waiting for them to resolve it :/

You can download these debs until my repo is fixed..
wget https://transfer.sh/62bly/tvheadend_4.2.4~raspbianstretch_armhf.deb wget https://transfer.sh/YaOl3/tvheadend-dbg_4.2.4~raspbianstretch_armhf.deb sudo dpkg -i tvheadend*4.2.4*.deb
When my repo is active again, you'll get the updates through that.
- These are the same builds as on the repo

Downloaded, installed, configured and working perfectly with an XboxOne Digital Tuner using the V4L media build as per instructions on forum here:

Many thanks!

FYI, LibreELEC can install TVHeadednd both as a server and client.
As an example, here's a great guide for a LibreELEC TvHeadend IPTV Setup for Freeview NZ:

does this still work? I'm also trying to install TVheadend on a Raspberry Pi but can't download the pkg...

My normal repo should be working, no need to use the transfer.sh links anymore.

Just noticed that I needed
deb https://dl.bintray.com/mpmc/deb raspbianstretch stable-4.2
and have now managed to download it.

Not sure if this guide helps anyone, but when I was first learning to set it all up this was one of the first posts I came across.
This is just me putting my config on 'paper'. Hope it helps.
