[SOLVED] Can’t get Freesat working can anyone help?
Added by bob 808 about 7 years ago
I have a new Ubuntu server install with tvheadend 4.4.4-7 installed. I am using a Tbs 6981 card and installed the firmware.
I have been able to setup the cards on 28.2 and it’s scanned for muxes and found around 1000 services... so far so good.
I then selected my Freesat bouquet (England hd meridian s) and enabled the Freesat epg grabber... but no channels have been added at all despite forcing scans and even deleting all services - they are simply added back but nothing is mapped. Any ideas what I am missing - I used to do this for sky and it worked but this is the first time I am trying for Freesat.
Did I just forget a step or have I hit an issue?
Thanks
Bob

Just to add if I map all then the channels seem to work and I have epg for many of them...

Once you've enabled the grabber try playing a service from the freesat home transponder (11425/8H) - don't matter if it can't decode anything as long as it's streaming - do this for about 60 seconds - and try checking "Map zero numbered channels".

You don't have to delete the channels - not required.
