Can we "restream" another TVH connection?
Added by Marce Castro over 7 years ago
Hi,
I know this is really silly, but I need to know whether it's possible. I'm using TVH as client, of TVHeadend provider who has its own server (I can't access it). So I just got access to see the TV channels. Can I setup a TVH server to use that connection as "input" and stream the channels? What I am trying to do is to filter out channels I don't need and renumbering others.
Thanks!

If you can access the streams via HTTP yes, if HTSP only, then no.

Thanks. I guess I have access to the stream via HTTP. What I have is the host name and two ports, one for HTTP and another for HTSP (apart from my user/pass). Any tutorial for beginners? If not, I'll keep on digging
