Recordings File Format
Added by Doctor Eggs over 7 years ago
HTS Tvheadend 4.2.2-32 ~ LibreELEC Tvh-addon v8.1.111
When I try to record something, the filename is not in the format that I can use to scrape into my library. It is missing underscores between the title, date/time, and the season/episode information.
Here is the way that it is currently recording files:
The Drew Carey Show2017-06-2012-00-S06E13.ts
And this is the way I would like it to record files:
The Drew Carey Show_2017-06-20_12-00-_S06E13.ts
It was recording with the underscores in 4.0 but I can't seem to figure out how to get that same configuration in 4.2.
Is there a setting that I'm missing?
Thanks

You can change the format, check the Help for the DVR profile.

Thank you.
Turns out I didn't have my User interface level set to Expert (default: Advanced) so I was not getting all of the options.
I went to Configuration >> General >> Base
Changed User interface level to Expert and clicked Save.
Then I went to Configuration >> Recording >> Default Profile
Changed the Format String: $t/$t_$e_%F_%R$n.$x
Thanks again.

Hi,
I just had the very same problem (see here: [[https://tvheadend.org/boards/5/topics/29361]]) and figured it out myself right before I stumbled upon this post...
Anyway, if someone (like me) wants a more VDR-like naming style, especially for series recordings, here is the format string I use:
$t/$50s/$e%F.%R.$x
This will result in a folder (title = $t for the series) with a sub-folder for every episode (subtitle = $s), where the length is limited to 50 chars (important here in Germany, since subtitles/episode names sometimes contain the whole summary of the episode ...). $e should give season and episode (like s02-e03 for season 2, episode 3 of a series), but that does not work with my self-grabbed EPG either.
Cheers,
