Added by asd asd over 7 years ago

hi all,
i bought a t230c dvb-t2 adapter and i cant make it working.
i was trying 2 different OS.
tvheadend recognize the adapter, everything looks ok.
when im trying to scan im getting: failed.
on windows machine with the supplied software it is working, so its not hardware problem.

I have a similar issue.

I'm having an issue with Mygica T230C2 DVB-T/T2/C. It works on Windows, but I can't get it working properly on Linux.

There should be something found at 738000 kHz and 770000 kHz, but I get:

Hi,

I have the same device and vendor IDs, but only get this far:

[ 113.866488] usb 3-3: new high-speed USB device number 8 using xhci_hcd
[ 113.995202] usb 3-3: New USB device found, idVendor=0572, idProduct=c68a
[ 113.995205] usb 3-3: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[ 113.995206] usb 3-3: Product: EyeTV Stick
[ 113.995207] usb 3-3: Manufacturer: Geniatech
[ 113.995208] usb 3-3: SerialNumber: 161206

It seems that dvb-usb is not noticing the device and loading the firmware. I have

dvb-demod-si2168-d60-01.fw

in /lib/firmware, but can't work out how to make the firmware load! Do you have any idea what might cause this? How did you get dvb-usb to find the device?

Thanks,

Alex

Use the instructions at https://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Geniatech_T230C as a guide. The drivers for the new firmware have been included since end March 2017 in CrazyCat's driver library.

Eventually I just took the frequencies found that w_scan couldn't successfully scan and created muxes for them. Now I'm struggling with getting OTA EPG for the services/channels mapped.
