OTA TV Picons - Pacific Northwest, US - PDX (dvb-t)

Added by Lance Gilbert almost 8 years ago

Hi Folks,

After trying several methods of xml based epggrab picon setups, I eventually went the manual route and downloaded channel icons from wiki pages for each network and associated the picon with each channel, respectively.

For anyone else in the same market, I have created a gzip archive of the picons and attached here.

Enjoy.

Before, it was possible to use lyngsat-logo, http://www.lyngsat-logo.com/, direct URL in the "user icon" field. Since a few weeks back Lyngsat has stopped this "service". From Lyngsat..

*This is a security setting on our new web servers. It is set this way to prohibit automated downloads and re-use of the logos on third-party web sites. We faced recently increased legal issues in this regard.

As web site publisher, with limited rights to show the channnel logos, we must make sure that only private users can indivudally download the displayed logotypes. Download of the logos is still possible, but require now manual action.*

So downloading the icons is the only solution...But Lyngsat has a lot of logos :)

Thanks for the info on lyngsat-logo -- looks like a very good resource!
