TVheadend 4.0.9 / raspberry3 / osmc / PCTV tripleStick (292e) | no tv channels found
Added by M M about 8 years ago
hi,
i tried to get all those about 240 channels a channel search
with windows 10 Software and the same stick but i clearly failed.
we tried all all the written or video how-tos but. nothing.
on TVheadend configuration website i tried pre-defined muxes for the network as well
as non or just one which represented a found channel in windows 10.
after status idle the scan result was failed.
does anyone know how the get those channels to be able to use tvheadend?
help appreciated!
thx
Michael

looks like the same problem i described just tonight. Maybe the problem is the Stick? It is the same as the Hauppauge WinTV SoloHD i assume.

- Confirm the device and firmware are installed. See "dmesg" for any errors.
- If the stick is installed and firmware available. Manually add muxes. Using the pre-defined lists usually doesn't work as they're all out of date.
- If you're not sure as to the frequencies for your location stop tvheadend ("sudo service tvheadend stop") and use w-scan ("apt install w-scan; sudo w-scan -cGB -ft". replace GB with your country.) to find them out. If w-scan fails to find anything your stick isn't working correctly.
- Make sure that when you add the muxes/frequencies that you enter the correct number of zeros, e.g. here in the UK 522000 needs to be entered as 522000000.

Hi,
since my problem seems to be quite similar, i a jumping in here.
For me w-scan works. I picked out one mux frequency and entered it. How about FEC and Baud rate and so. Do i have to enter them or does TVH find it automatically? How do i enter more than one mux frequencies?

It's always best to enter as much detail as possible. No one has yet mentioned what delivery system is being used. I'm going to take a guess and say DVB-C?
If you have mux discovery "network discovery" enabled you generally only need to add one working frequency as tvh will use the NIT to find the rest.

Thanx a lot. Yes, it is DVB-C.
Now i understand what network discovery means here ;-)
The Baud rate, when the provider sais 6900 IS 6900 and noch 6900 K, is it?
Maybe you couöd take a quick look at my post from yesterday night. That woud be very much appreciated.

This tuning file says you need to set the network id (5555) & enter 6875000 symrate.

Yours may be different. This page Ziggo says you should have a manual with that info.
