Change DVB-T to DVB-C

Added by Sunny Sun over 8 years ago

Hi everyone,
I have a Raspberry Pi and would like to use it with tvheadend. The following USB TV cards I have:

Bus 001 Device 005: ID 2040:6500 Hauppauge WinTV HVR-900
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 0ccd:0086 TerraTec Electronic GmbH Cinergy Hybrid XE

Unfortunately, these are set to DVB-T and not to DVB-C. How can they be converted to DVB-C? I have instructions found to make it through the terminal and not tvheadend but unfortunately without success. Can anyone help me?

/KR sunny

Tvheadend displays the frontends as set by the driver.

If the driver supports it you need to set a modprobe option to tell it which delivery system you want.

What instructions are you referring to?

I've looked into those devices a bit more and as far as I can see neither of them support DVB-C..
