OpenELEC and Hauppauge 1191 WinTV-HVR-955Q TV tuner
Added by M J over 8 years ago
I've been following http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php/Configuring_Tvheadend#Attaching_a_TV_tuner and found myself quite confused. As you can see from my attachments, the wiki is pretty out-of-date and I've been shooting blind, trying to get it to work. What should I be doing w/this?
I'm running OE 6.0 on a R.Pi B+.

your not adding the correct frequency for your muxes.
if you dont know them you could select a pre defined set of muxes to get you going.
to select these you do them whilst adding a network. you just have to select country, region etc
ive posted pics of what mine looks like as a idea (although i use DVB-S) and a picture of the pre defined section that should help.
Rob
also once you find your services make sure to either map all channels or just map the ones you want.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention: I got ATSC here.
Well, we definitely got something there. I tried a couple of pre-defined MUXes and now I've got a grid full of MUXes and another one full of services, listing channels I recognize. But I'm not quite there yet. I enabled the HTSP client and enabled "TV" in the system settings. But when I go to this new "TV" selection on the home, it lists the TV channels I've enabled, but when I play them, the screen doesn't change and it just plays the audio like I'm running a radio station. What's up w/that?

Oh but I do get a picture when I record. It doesn't work any better though. The image starts off very choppy and after about a minute of that, it gets so bad that it takes about 10s or 20s to get through one second of recording. I recorded a little over a minute and I found this *.ts file that is 134Mb, if that's any help.
