SAT>IP basic setup - help needed.
Added by Akos Sz almost 9 years ago
I would like to test SAT>IP feature.
There are two DVB-S2 tuners in my Tvheadend 4.0.3 backend server. I configured SAT>IP Server and Network SAT>IP source number according the screeenshots.
My expectation was that Tvheadend device appears on my computer, HTPC and TV set as a new DLNA media device. However nothing happens.
I found only these two lines in the log file:
2015-11-28 11:48:39.462 [ INFO] satips: SAT>IP Server initialized (HTTP 192.168.10.27:9981, RTSP 192.168.10.27:554, descramble 1, muxcnf 0)
2015-11-28 11:48:39.462 [ INFO] satips: SAT>IP Server tuners: DVB-T/T2 0/0, DVB-S/S2 1/1, DVB-C/C2 0/0, ATSC 0, DVB-Cable/AnnexB 0
What configuration step is missing?

SAT>IP is not DLNA. Some SAT>IP servers also include DLNA servers, but many don't.
Don't know if TV Headend includes DLNA server support as well as SAT>IP support, but if it doesn't it will only work with SAT>IP clients (some new Panasonic TVs have this functionality but it is still quite rare in TVs I believe)

Thanks. I misunderstood the feature.
