access control help
Added by Anonymous almost 10 years ago
I recently updated my tvheadend version on my Raspberry Pi and am getting the no verified access message on the screen. I can change all options and configure things.
I don't want to set up a password for access, but just have access whenever I hit the specified address and port.
I am not sure if I am getting this because I upgraded wrong or not.

This is normal and nothing to worry about, it basically means that you're not logged in to a known account but instead using the default catch-all account. This allows you to offer access without the need to login, but also allows you to login/logout as a different known user with more privileges.
If you're going to leave the default user account enabled it's best to restrict the features it can access (admin etc) but create an additional account with access to all features so you can login and manage things.
