satellite is not on the predefined muxes. how to fix or add new sat
Added by thomas temp almost 10 years ago
Hi all,
I'm a newbie here.
I bought a MOI pro streamer with TBS6985 (DVB-S) + TBS6285 (DVB-T) card. The TVheadend is pre-installed.
I got the issue when I add DVB-S network. The satellite I'm watching (Chinasat 6B) in the not in the pre-defined muxes though. So I have not idea what to do next step.
Would anyone please help me to fix this or tell me how to add this sat to the list?
thanks

if this is the sat then what you would need to do is to add muxes manually.
Hopefully you'll only need to add one and it should be able to discover the rest off that one.
just follow the info bellow.
add the sat but leave predefined empty.
then for each mux (hopefully 1 and the rest will appear if not compare lists and add missing ones)
go to muxes tab and choose add mux.
Select Sat from drop down box.
Make sure to fill in the folowing fields
"frequency":xxxx000 take from info above ignore any decimals etc and add 3 zeros to it
"symbol_rate": xxxx000 take from info above ignore any decimals etc and add 3 zeros to it
"fec"
"polarisation"
"modulation"
"delivery_system"
the other boxes can be left alone

Thanks for you help.
Yeap, I tried to add the muxes one by one but it didn't work.
The MOI support teamviewed my computer and sort it out. The trick is you have select advance for the lnb and manually assign c band for it!
Hopefully this information could be of help for others as well.
Cheers

I wish you had mentioned you were using a MOI and that you had not crossposted in both this area and the General area, because it looks like you got help already and I would not have wasted my time posting a response. What I don't understand is how you ever received anything in the first place if you had not set up the band for your satellite tuner correctly.
Anyway, in the future, please post your question in only one forum and then wait for a response, so people don't waste their time trying to help you when you have already received help.
