DVB-S2 HD channels scanning not detected

Added by Dan Chicheportiche over 10 years ago

Hi,
I install tvheadup and after 3 days all work.
I have understand how it work. I have my oscam with my cccam to descramble the channels, and I see all channels on VLC and XBMC well.
But I have a problem (a big one), I think it's a bug.
All the multiplexes with DVB-S2 and 8PSK don't detect any channels.

For example :
I had these multiplexe manually (because automatic don't work to) and this detect no channel (no error in logs):
Astra 19.2 - 12012V - 29700 - 2/3 - DVB-S2 - 8PSK
Hotbird 13.0 - 16681H - 27500 - 3/4 - DVB-S2 - 8PSK
But if a channel is on a DVB-S QPSK multiplexe it work well for example MTV Live HD :
Hotbird 13.0 - 11075V - 27500 - 3/4 - DVB-S - QPSK

I test on my Technisat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI and with this different configuration and it's the same bug :
1/ Raspberry PI + Raspbmc
2/ PC + ubuntu x64
3/ PC + debian i386

My card is recognised as STB0899 Multistandard on tvheadend but the dmseg log know it real name :
dvb-usb: found a 'Technisat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI' in cold state, will try to load a firmware
dvb-usb: found a 'Technisat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI' in warm state.
DVB: registering new adapter (Technisat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI)
dvb-usb: Technisat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI successfully initialized and connected.

I make the w_scan and scan and it's the same problem, it detect all channels except channel on DVBS2 multiplexes.

When I go on windows with the same PC and the same card with ProgDVB, all work fine and the HD channel are detected.
When I connect the dish on my dreambox all work fine too.

I think this is a driver problem so I update v4l with SVN but the same problem.

What can I do ?

Thanks

Hello all,

the same is happening with me. I am running TVHeadend 3.9.571
Currently the message that i have in logs is

2014-05-03 11:26:03.000 [ INFO] mpegts: 12015V - initial scan no data, failed
2014-05-03 11:26:03.000 [ INFO] subscription: "initscan" unsubscribing

The funny thing is that if I run TVHeadend 3.4 I can find all channels.

Can someone help me?

I have tested the 3.4 and the 3.9 and it's the same for me, no channels detected on DVDS2 multiplexes !!!!
If think the difference between your 3.4 and your 3.9 is, you have changed your linux distribution, no ?
What distribution and what version do you used when all channels was detected ?
Anyone can help us ?

Hi
I have news.
I have installed the openelec distribution on my raspberry pi, and actived the tvheadend 3.4.27.
On tvheadend i had manually a dvb-s multiplexe, and i have checked the option Autodetect muxes, and it find all channel SD and HD channels.
But when I want to start a hd channel it tell me :
May 04 12:00:42.478 Service: Subscription "127.0.0.1 [ XBMC Media Center ]": Skipping "STB0899 Multistandard/: 12,207,000 kHz Vertical (Astra)/PARIS PREMIERE HD" -- not enabled

Do anyone know why ?

Hi, I am running TVHeadend on Ubuntu 14.04. With TVH 3.4 I can search and watch channels. With 3.9.x, no services found.

with 3.4 you can watch all channels ? dvb-s2 too ?
and with 3.9 you don't find any channels ? dvb-s too ?

Hi, hello.

With TVHeadend 3.4, I have to change the MUXES for HISPASAT satelite. After, TVH scan's all channels and I can watch dvb-s and dvb-s2.

With TVH3.9.x, I cant find any channels, any service.

In the log file what I get is the following:

2014-05-03 11:26:03.000 [ INFO] mpegts: 12015V - initial scan no data, failed

anyone got any clue to why this stopped working in >3.4? everything works fine but i'm really missing my hd-channels.

Sorry for Offtopic, but how you get the Technisat Skystar USB 2 HD CI got to work with TVHeadend?
I use an QNAP NAS and TVHeadend don't detect the card.

I am having a similar problem where none of the channels on Ciel 2 are showing up as a result of the scan.

What is going on here?
