no services found ("initial scan no data, failed")
Added by tankred mueller almost 11 years ago
Hello everyone,
in my setup tvheadend does not find any services, and mux autodetection does not work.
When tvheadend scans a mux it always looks like this:
2014-01-11 22:39:46.000 [ INFO] mpegts: 114000 - starting for 'initscan' (weight 2)
2014-01-11 22:39:46.000 [ INFO] mpegts: 114000 - tuning on /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0
2014-01-11 22:39:46.000 [ INFO] subscription: 'initscan' subscribing to mux, weight: 2, adapter: '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0', network: 't', mux: '114000'
2014-01-11 22:39:51.089 [ INFO] mpegts: 114000 - initial scan no data, failed
2014-01-11 22:39:51.089 [ INFO] subscription: "initscan" unsubscribing
I tried several settings in the webui, and compiled tvheadend from scratch. I live in southern germany, my cable tv provider is "KabelBW". The config file contains only one mux, therefore I tried some other network configurations without any success.
The input signal should be OK, a TV and another htpc are connected to the same splitter and work just fine.
w_scan finds a huge number of channels, even the frequency shown above.
Setup: Ubuntu 12.0.4 server, tvheadend 3.4.27, FireDTV DVB-C card connected to a firewire port.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance
Tankred.

have you found a solution to this? i have the exact same issue apart from location and cable provider.
i have tried both the stable and unstable releases.

Unfortunately not - the computer I installed the software to is still in "project" status ;-)
Do you use the same hardware I did? And can you confirm channels are being found using w_scan?

Okej that sucks No my tv card is a Dvbsky t680c, i have not tried w_scan, but the thing is that tvheadend detects the muxes and services if i add one mux and let it auto detect muxes. but the services is missing names and on type it says "other" instead of sdtv as it should. will try w_scan when i get the time^^
when i add the muxes manually i det the "no data" message
