Resume TV recording XBMC
Added by Martijn Jagers about 11 years ago
Hi everyone,
I'm running TVH 3.5.243 and XBMC 12.2. TVH works really great but I have some issues with recordings. They play just fine, no issues there, but for some reason the playback / resume info is not stored... If I play a movie in XBMC, I can stop and resume anytime, but with live TV recordings the playback always starts at the beginning... Not really convenient to skip a 2 hour recording to view the last 10 minues ;).
Anyone able to help with this?
Thanks!
Martijn

I suspect it's because you're playing the file through the PVR addon, so tvheadend is effectively streaming the file to XBMC rather than XBMC knowing anything about the file itself. If you map a path to where tvheadend stores the recordings and play using Files mode, you may have better luck.
I'll check on my system for you when the kids leave it alone :-)
Oh, and on a normal XBMC file, you can always jump to a specific time by typing a timecode on your remote (HHMMSS format - so jumping to those last ten minutes is 015000).
