OpenELEC 3.0.5 + HDHomeRun Continuity counter error
Added by Martin Olsen over 11 years ago
I am seeing lots of choppiness in the TV stream from my HDHomeRun. All channels are affected. Signal quality shows 100% all the time, but the "errors" column does indicate that something is wrong. Every time the stream gets choppy, the error counter starts ticking. But what kind of errors are these? The log is full of lines like this:
Jun 19 17:28:19.874 TS: HDHomeRun DVB-C 12205133-0/Stofa Aarhus: 346,000 kHz/TV 2 | Danmark HD (stjylland): H264 @ #2830: Continuity counter error, 3 duplicate log lines suppressed
I run the TVHeadend server on the same machine as OpenELEC (3.0.5) and it has been running fine for 5-6 months now. It started 3 days ago. Yesterday I thought the issue had gone away and to test it I left the TV on for 6 hours, and not one single error occurred. Today, the errors are back. Can this be some sort of timing issue related to drivers or something? If I use the HDHomeRun application for watching the stream, there are no issues.

Set "Full mux reception" to "Off" in Configuration -> dvb inputs and that should solve the problem.
Had the same issue that my error counter started to count a lot of errors and my image was choppy. I found the above tip on an other forum. I still now and then have an error in the error column, however I don't see it affect anything on the screen.
