Will I be able to watch HD channels (Ziggo, NL) with this setup ?

No. I tried this setup together with a HDHomerun dual tuner and unfortunately, the ATV2 can't handle the LiveTV source as it stutters badly making it unwatchable. I ended up getting a Zotac Zbox AD12 and installed OpenElec, enabled the TVHeadend and HDHomerun add-ons and voila, LiveTV! TVHeadend is a breeze to setup compared to MythTV. Plus switching between tv channels is almost instant compared to the 2-5sec buffer delay on MythTV.
I'm also waiting on the Artic MC001-XBMC (EU) to arrive which I plan to use for the bedroom. Google it as they're selling for a very reasonable price.

I bought the Arctic MC001 and installed OpenElec on it. Works like a charm ! I haven't fine-tuned things yet but I notice some lag when switching channels or when starting LiveTV. My backend is TvHeaden with a CableStar HD. Any suggestions on how to improve this ?

Unfortunately some lag is to be expected, especially with LiveTV in full HD. Your PC is doing a lot of work unlike normal tv. Future driver & software updates will hopefully improve things. Also make sure hardware acceleration is on (System>Video>Playback).

Sorry I can't offer any help with your tuner other than maybe rescanning your channels by location again. Did you try adding the MC001's own tuner in the web UI? Be curious to know the response time there.
