Is there any way I can delete Tvheadend recordings in Kodi? Using Titan skin 17.6.

Dunno, but FWIW I can't either. The Kodi UI lets me delete recordings, but they aren't actually deleted on the TVH backend. I just delete them using the TVH WebUI so I haven't investigated.

You should be able to "long click" on a recording if your remote supports it (or press "c") to call up the custom menu, then select delete in there.
In tvh4.3+ there's an option to "automatically delete programme after it is watched" in the expert settings of recording in Tvh UI. Set that to "2 days" and they will be deleted as long as you watch to the end of a programme.

The problem is not deleting it in Kodi. It is that deleting it in Kodi does not delete it in TVH. And for myself, I'm not interested in automatic deletion.

I can do that in the Recordings section but not on the Recordings widget. I suppose that’s more the limitation of the widget itself than Tvheadend. Automatic deletion sounds great. Do I also need Tvheadend 4.3 for server based play status in Kodi? Not on 18 yet but plan on so I cann sync the recording watch status to my other boxes.

Looking at GitHub code, I think play status works in tvh4.2.
[[https://github.com/tvheadend/tvheadend/blob/release/4.2/src/htsp_server.c]] Line 2857 suggests to me that if you have an old version of Kodi it will do server status automatically (marking a programme as watched).
If you have a "new" version, then Kodi pvr.hts has to set the play status itself and can also set the "resume point". Is there a setting in Kodi pvr.hts for this in version 17? In Kodi 18 it works (pvr.hts advanced settings, "server based play status").
For automatic delete, that should work in tvh4.3 regardless of the version of Kodi that you have. But, if you decide to upgrade tvh, remember to take a backup first since some of the config files have changed and so it may be difficult to switch back to 4.2.
Perhaps for the widgets you can raise a bug (or a question on their forums) to see if they can support a "long press" menu. The functionality of widgets is relatively new, so what you ask seems a useful addition; or perhaps they can suggest an alternative way.
