Recordings playback choppy - What settings should I be using?
Added by DZMM Highlander over 6 years ago
I have TVH running in a linuxserver docker and I watch TV mainly on a Mibox 3 running Kodi, but also on various Fire TV machines.
With the latest Kodi Leia builds, live TV is now working fine with HTSP. However, I'm having problems with recordings - playback is choppy, and I can't reliably pause/rewind without the machines sometimes having fits e.g. playback freezing. Recordings work fine on SPMC, so unfortunately I'm using two apps at the moment to watch live and recorded TV.
At the moment I'm using the pass profile to record.... Should I be using mkv? I've read that this will mean I can't watch an ongoing recording???
I've also seen in another thread mention of recording using pass, but then using a post-process script to convert to mkv? How do I do this and is this the recommended approach?
Thanks in advance
