How to troubleshoot?
Added by Thorsten Schütte about 7 years ago
Hi.
I'm new to tvheadend and i love it. Runs smooth and easy setup. My first Linux
But i have only one Problem left...
When i watch liveTV on HD Channels sometimes there is 2-3 seconds of buffering. Sometimes no buffering.
I use Kodi Leia on a shieldTV.
To find out what the problem is... What do i have to do? Must i activate something? Where is the log for this?
And - maybe the problem is in the shield - how to check logs in kodi?
I hope someon can help me?
Thank you all very much!

Buffering isn't that uncommon, especially on HD streams.
If you play a stream in VLC it should be near enough instant (depending on tuner).

But buffering in not WAF compatible
On FTA HD Channels there is no buffering (maybe? I try it and generate Logfiles) .
Oscam is on the same machine as tvh.

Ok reduce the "Descrambler buffer (TS packets)" option in Config -> General -> Base.
