OpenElec as Frontend - No stream

Added by Torsten Jaeger about 9 years ago

Hello,

I google around since two days and doesn't find any helpful answer or guide.

After tvheadend runs with only one network card, I have aded the channels and can show LiveTV over iPad (TvhApp) or vlc on windows and Mac

But XMBC / Kodi doesn't work. I installed the latest version von OpenELE 5.95.5.6.0 with Linux Kernel 4.1.6 and KODI 15.1 (Sept. 4 2015)

I enabled the PVR Plugin for TVHeadend (HTSP) and get all channels listed under TV.

After selecting one channel - nothing happens. The message Caching hangs on top - thats it.

The log from tvheadend shows following:

Whats going wrong ? stupid config error ?

Thanks a lot

Torsten

You have quite a few CC/TS errors there which usually indicates a signal issue but seeing as you're using SAT>IP it's more than likely a bandwidth one, is your network all gigabit Ethernet? Anything lower can cause issues.

RE: OpenElec as Frontend - No stream - Added by Torsten Jaeger about 9 years ago

There is all Gigabit Ethernet.

What I mentioned, only XMBC doesn't get a stream. Over iPad with TvH App, the web and VLC from Windows and Mac OSX is working - just xmbc get no stream.

One time see an ACC stream in log - but on XMBC nothing. also on the Octopus I see an running stream

Thanks

Hmm, you may want to open a bug issue then with Traces, remember to remove any personal info.

Have you tried Kodi on another machine? Could be an issue with the plugin.

Ok, sorry for my late feeback. I'm the whole week not at home.

I delete all yesterday and installed it completely new.

I also have done some recordings.

The issue is the same - I see on tvheadend a stream is delivered to client - but on client nothing

I also tried to use the tvhClient app on my iPad to play a recording - nothing:

On logfile I see a http://401 - which normally means "access denied"

Oct 4 09:21:12 srv0006 tvheadend2133: http: 10.27.100.142: HTTP/1.1 GET /config -- 404

The same: LiveTV works, No EPG, No stream on recordings.

So it would be the best, to open a bug issue.

Please give me an advice how to get all traces needed - I'm newbie on tvheadend

Thanks

RE: OpenElec as Frontend - No stream - Added by Torsten Jaeger about 9 years ago

But why: for 10.27.0.0/16 I have all allowed - only admin is no check mark on. All types of profiles are in.

On other hand liveTV is working on iPad - but no EPG

BTW: also if I try to play recordings over web interface and VLC on my Macbook it doesn't work. I see the timeline move forward, but no sound and no picture comes up

RE: OpenElec as Frontend - No stream - Added by Torsten Jaeger about 9 years ago

running version is HTS Tvheadend 4.1-540~g93f1b2b

RE: OpenElec as Frontend - No stream - Added by Mark Clarkstone about 9 years ago

What options have you chosen for the user?

Mine are:

Remember non-admin users account can't access or see some of the API (I tried using non-admin account & got 401).

See Traces. Under Subsystems enter +all, be warned though it'll output a load of stuff & may also include passwords (so remove them).

I'm not sure Openelec has debugging enabled so this may not work

RE: OpenElec as Frontend - No stream - Added by Torsten Jaeger about 9 years ago

I tried with both: admin and non-admin

UPdate: I changed some settings on KODI - hardware acceleration to software.

I get a sound and picture on KODI now - but bad quality - all movements are bucking

On iPad and KODI - no EPG always

on log I see http 404 errors 4 times on client startup:

Hardware on KODI media center: Hardware is INTEL i7 with onChip graphics. Maybe I should add a ATI graphic card for hardware acceleration
