wrong CAID used for channel descrambling
Added by Tom Lupi about 2 years ago
Hi, I don't know about this much, but I managed to set up my first TVHeadend on Libreelec few years ago, using Sundtek SkyTV dongle (with Inverto Unicable I LNB). it was set up to connect to OSCAM to descramble channels. I decided to move the TVHeadend to Odroid HC4 about a year ago. As I wasn't able to set up the Docker based TVHeadend with Docker based OSCAM, I used the new feature of 4.3 to connect to remote CCCAM server directly, using the CA tab. all was working just fine.
Recently I purchased the dual tuner from Sundtek. as I wasn't able to get the tuners visible in TVHeadend I thought it's good idea to update the TVHeadend container. so I got the tuner present in TVHeadend finally present. what I didn't do is, I didn't save the configuration before I removed the original container.
now the thing is, that (AFAIR) the configuration is same as it was before, there isn't that much settings. but for some reason descrambling fails for some channels. guy who tried to help me told me that wrong CAID (0d96 instead of 0624, it's actually always 0d96 is used and sent to CCCAM server which can't send back correct data to descramble the channel.
I tried to enable the debug logging and have something, but I wasn't able to figure out why that happens.
I tried to put back the single tuner Sundtek SkyTV, same result. I tried to set it up using TVHeadend server addon on my LE box, same result, I tried attaching directly the cable from Inverto setting the input to SCR 0/1210MHz, same result.
in attached file, there is debug log trying 2 channels. Nova HD has this descrambling problem, DAJTO HD is ok.
I also thought it is related to certain muxes, but it works for some channels of certain mux and doesn't for others. it's happening for all muxes. I tried to lock the service to the CAID, that didn't work too.
Could you please someone help and point me out to the problem I just can't see obviously.

Use stream filter in TVH to remove unused CA.

wow, that worked. even it's not clear to me why it suddenly stopped working when it worked before out of the box without any stream filters set before. but I don't care, it's working now. thanks.
