TVH with DDDevice + CI black Screen on encrypted HD channels
Added by Matt Birn over 3 years ago
Good morning from germany,
i have up and running a Debian server with a TVH installation. Hardware is Digital Devices OctopusCI S2 Pro Advanced - Twin CI and Twin DVB-S2 Tuner for PCIe Slot (integrated twin CI slot)
With the help of a friend i build TVH on latest source from git and we checked that DD CI and CA works on the same machine/OS (tested with Astra Cesbo App)
TVH client is running as addon on a KODi installaton on the TV and as APP on my android OnePlus. I´m getting light with the public HD channels and the private SD channels. But with the private HD channels is it dark.
When i´m trying to open a private HD chanel on the WEB gui, i´m getting ...

Its Normal to work with FTA channels
Scrambled need CI attached to tuner.
Is it cam initialised in TVH you must see supported CAID's
RE: TVH with DDDevice + CI black Screen on private HD channels - Added by Matt Birn over 3 years ago
the CI is included i the tuner and it is working. as is wrote: "With the help of a friend i build TVH on latest source from git and we checked that DD CI and CA works on the same machine/OS (tested with Astra Cesbo App)"
But we could not figure out what to do to get a descrambled signal in TVH. Always the same error

What is CAID supported by your CARD?
RE: TVH with DDDevice + CI black Screen on private HD channels - Added by Matt Birn over 3 years ago
The card is a black Astra HD02.
I checked the card with the CAM (AlphaCrypt light r.2.2) befor in my TV. There was no problem what so ever watching the privat HD channels. I guess that means that the card is supporting all CAID´s
RE: TVH with DDDevice + CI black Screen on private HD channels - Added by saen acro over 3 years ago
Card is usually support only one CAID, Cam Module support more.
Idea is to filter caid's from stream to allow only this one equal card.
I guess your card CAID is 1843 (NagraVision)

hey there,
with the help of very expirienced friend, we tried everything to find the eror. but nothing helped.
we made debug.log file with --trace linuxdvb,ddci,en50221,dvbcam
we tried different caids and so on.
we tested the hardware on a TV and on a windows system. everything works fine.
maybe one of you can find the error we have overseen.

Wrong.
"adapter_alloc" is needed for minisatip - but NOT for TVH.

Bullshit.
The right settings are:
service limit = 0
CAID selection: ALL CAIDS

Believe me. IT WILL NOT WORK !
It is possible to get tvh up and running with DDs Twin CI: BUT TVH
will producee CountCounter Errors over and over.
Besides it will only
decode ONE channel simultanously. And TVH does not decode CI+ channels.
Use "the other solution": no errors - MTD - CI+ channels.
Send pm.

Explain your logic to flood CAM with inposible to be descrambled ECM's?

Why do you think that your solution solves the problem ? Why is flooding
the CAM a problem ?
Your "Solution" did not work - as stated by threadstarter.
Logic ?
Have you tested "CAID filter list" is working as expected ? Have you
tested "first hit" / "last hit" is working as expected ?
No ?
CAID Filterlist may be used if system is up and running. Finetuning IF AND ONLY IF there artefacts.
RE: TVH with DDDevice + CI black Screen on encrypted HD channels - Added by saen acro over 3 years ago
Great logic, to send x*y ecm's to card with work on less then 4mhz,
and cannot process more then 2 ecm's (excepr on pro CAM) to card,
with can descrable only one type of ECM's.
With this type of logic, you need super computer to calculate sum of 1+1

Twin CI and Twin DVB-S2 Tuner for PCIe Slot (integrated twin CI slot)
TVH has support for SINGLE CI - try the other slot. Sometimes it helps.
--> we tryd that, no change on the problem.
Just to be sure. You see in the first slot the message:
2021-03-23 15:14:45.723 [ NOTICE] linuxdvb: dvbca0-0: CAM slot 0 status changed to module ready
Did it change to "slot 1" after you switched to the other one ?
In your screenshot "devices" I see that both slots are named "ca0-0".
- adapter0 ... #0 (Tuner)
- adapter1 ... #1 (Tuner)
- adapter2 ... #0 (CAM #0)
- adapter3 ... #0 (CAM #0)
Did you change the name ?

Great logic, to send x*y ecm's to card with work on less then 4mhz,
and cannot process more then 2 ecm's (excepr on pro CAM) to card,
with can descrable only one type of ECM's.With this type of logic, you need super computer to calculate sum of 1+1
Log shows no ECM hit - filtering CAID is stupid.
