Descrambling DVB-S2 over SatIP
Added by nin dustries over 6 years ago
Hello all,
Looking into either getting an IPTV subscription or a CCAM Cline for DVB-S2.
Is it possible to put a Sat-IP box inbetween tvHeadend and the dish?
This would make it easier to pull wires, instead of multiple coax.
Rephrased: can a scrambled DVB-S3 signal be sent over SatIP, for tvheadend to descramble?

This is how I have configured with a Digibit R1.
It sends encrypted streams to tvheadend.
Regards.

How is the speed of switching channels? Do you per chance have a video on that?
I also see that there is minisatip firmware to flash for the Digibit R1, so you could do CCAM on the box itself

Hello,
The channel switch is fast, same as DVB-T USB devices.
There is a firmware that include minisatip and oscam: https://github.com/perexg/satip-axe
I didn't try oscam on the device. I descramble in tvheadend.
Regards.
