TVHeadend 4.3 and dvbapi oscam

Added by Kaka Kaka32 over 6 years ago

Hello,

I'm currently trying to setup another tvheadend server.
I started with a version 4.0.9-16, iptv with dvbapi and oscam and also a dvb-t2 tuner. Working like a charm, problem, no subtitles

So I decided to upgrade to version 4.2.6.
Again, oscam and dvbapi for iptv, no dvb-t, because I had no time to set it up.
With that working, I made a second one.

So, 1 oscam server, and 2 tvheadend. Both linked to the oscam server.
It worked for a while, but then recently a lot of problem to connect to oscam, sometimes I had to restart oscam and or tvheadend to make it work, and even though, some records could be ruined.

I tried with other programs (connected to the same oscam server), like dvbviewer for windows. No problem.

So recently, I decided to update everything to the last version.

So, today :
OSCAM --> Build: r11424
TVHeadend --> 4.3-1251

My old, tvheadend 4.2.6, can play channels with oscam without any problem. I'm currently waiting to see if connexion problems between tvheadend and oscam are gonna come back. (it could work for a few days until the problem I mentionned before.

But, on the current tvheadend, 4.3, the uncrypted channels work perfectly, but the crypted one are in the oscam log, like if everything is working perfectly. Except the picture, that stays black.

My oscam config :

[dvbapi]
enabled                       = 1
au                            = 1
pmt_mode                      = 4
listen_port                   = 9001
user                          = tvheadend
boxtype                       = pc
[account]
user                          = tvheadend
pwd                           = tvheadend
caid                          = 0500
keepalive                     = 1
au                            = 1
group                         = 1
cccstealth                    = 1
Mode: OSCam net protocol (rev >= 10389)
Client name: tvheadend
CW Mode: Standard / auto

Don't be afraid to ask for other config data, I hope you'll be able to help me

Thanks

Are you saying you had things working properly with these settings at one point?

I have not yet managed to get Oscam working so hope to learn something from your settings.

I have
pmt_mode = 0
there is no au
but I also have
ecminfo_type = 4
read_sdt = 1

Not sure what any of this means and am wondering if I should change these values...

In the user settings I don't have do have anything for caid keepalive au cccstealth

should I change my settings to match yours?

I'm clutching at straws really since I can't get any decrytion to work.

Many thanks for this - very useful, and just shows the enormous scope for error :)

Still not getting anywhere...

One thing which constantly appears in the logs is

2018/06/27 10:09:13 767B59DC c   (reader) network-socket [serial] connecting to 192.160.0.10:2006
2018/06/27 10:09:16 767B59DC c   (reader) network-socket [serial] connect failed: Connection timed out
2018/06/27 10:10:16 767B59DC c   (reader) network-socket [serial] connecting to 192.160.0.10:2006
2018/06/27 10:10:19 767B59DC c   (reader) network-socket [serial] connect failed: Connection timed out

Is there any way to enable logging to indicate that an attempted decryption had failed?

Do you have access to youtube ?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1hIpLWKzzY
learn how to use oscam first.

I've looked through that video so many times that my head is spinning!

It's kind of annoying that it doesn't go through the OSCam GUI and makes it look like you need to edit filles manually. There are so many variations that I don't a video will help to configure your system unless it uses the same as yours.

It seems that there aren't really that many elements to getting it working, although I haven't figure it out yet...

Using the GUI on 192.168.1.x:8888 you need to

1: Add a User
2: Add a Reader
3: Config -> CCcam
4. Config -> DVB-Api
5. Restart

Using the Tvheadend GUI on 192.168.1.x:9981

1. Click on CAs
2. Add Client Name

This all assumes that Tvheadend is already running.

If this looks correct, then I just need to figure out the correct values for each of those steps and I should be able to decrypt...

Hello,

yes with this config it works.

You don't need to config CCcam.

The problem is, again this week, the connection between OSCam and TvHeadend stops after a day more or less.
I need to restart oscam, go to tvheadend, Config > CAs, disable the settings to connect to the oscam server, save, reclick enable, save and then, working again.

I don't understand why, especially, when everything was fine. I had it working for month, about september 2017 to december or january 2018, I reboot like once or two.

I wanted to try alternative to TVH for linux but can't find any. Maybe I'll setup with dvbviewer but it's not that good.
