OSCAM as a CCcam client
Added by Simone Rossi over 9 years ago
Good Morning,
I have 2 Box One with Raspberry PI2 Auto assembled and another with Wetek Play OpenElec version that I buy last month.
In all two boxes I put the same configuration OpenElec with Tvheadend and the same DVB-T USB Tuner, with the same Oscam Configuration type and Server.
The only differences are the verison of OpenElec:
Raspberry PI 2 Have a specific OS version of OpenElec V5.0.8 for RPI2 and the Wetek Play Openelec have the last version V5.95.3, (after trying V5.95.2).
On the RPI2 I have a descrambling all ok and all working fine, On the Wetek play no.
In the Oscam Log I see the descrambling work good from this log lines:

In the status of Tvhd I see this continous errors:

Note: OSCAM_CCcam_Client is the name description that I put in the Comment configuration Oscam steps descripted below.
I repeat I use the same configuration in the Raspberry PI2 and working fine on TVHD, with the same dvbcard, in the same server and the same channels.
I use this parameters in OSCAM in both the boxes:
OSCAM Type chosed OSCAMDVBAPI
Client Name: OSCAM_CCcam_Client
Comment:
Mode: OSCam pc-nodmx (rev>=9756)
Camd.socket Filename / IP Address (TCP mode: /tmp/camd.socket
listen/Connection Port: 0
Someone have any suggest or solution?
Many thanks in advance.
Simone

Use newcamd server of oscam and newline client in tvh
PI is verry limited

newcamd is very old and useless when using oscam and tvh (because both systems have way more advanced features than newcamd supports).
also, the RPi handles oscam perfectly fine (mine's running on a RPi B+ , Simone Rossi is trying to run it on a RPi2 , so his results will even be better).
CAs settings in TVHeadend :
Name : whatever you want ofc.
Comment : same as with the name.
Mode : OSCam net protocol (rev >=10389)
Camd.socket Filename / IP Adress (TCP mode) : 127.0.0.1
Listen/Connect port : 9000
In OSCAM under DVBApi, you set the following settings :
Boxtype : pc
PMT Mode : 0 - use camd.socket and PMT file
Listen Port : 9000
This setup works for me on a raspberry Pi 512mb , I don't see why it wouldn't work on the newer Pi2 model (matter of fact it should work even better ^^).
