Capmt Connections and OSCam on DigitalDevices hardware
Added by Dolphs Lundgren almost 11 years ago
Hi I followed this topic https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/wiki/Capmt_Connections trying to set up Capmt Connections.
However I got stuck getting a socket-file in /tmp. My hardware is CineS2 (V6.5) DVBS2 with DuoFlex Series C/T adapter both recognised in hts as ' stv090x ' and ' stv0367 '.
Can one explain if it is needed to preload a module ( referring to LD_PRELOAD=/path/to/capmt_ca.so cam_client & ) before TVHeadend can interact via port 9000 ( OSCam ).
Both tvheadend and OSCam are running on same hardware,
oscam.conf holds:
[dvbapi]
enabled = 1
au = 1
user = tvheadend
password = tvheadend
boxtype = pc
pmt_mode = 4
request_mode = 0
oscam.user holds:
[account]
user = tvheadend
pwd = tvheadend
au = 1
group = 1

I could not get Capmt to work with my Cine C/T at all, tvheadend completely locked up (always had to kill -9 it when testing). Is there an advantage with the dvbapi over the cwc client with oscam, or haven't you tried that one yet?

@dolph
are you sure that oscam is running?
.conf files seem to be ok.

Idea: set pmt_mode to 0 or comment it out completely.

hi - sorry I forgot to respond to this one.
Issue was quite disappointing as OSCam was in different group as tvheadend hence I got DVBAPI errors reported.
To test I ran both as root and all started working as expected - thanks for replying both
