XMLTV data not being inserted (correct data confirmed to be available but not injecting)
Added by Oliver Smith almost 13 years ago
Hi all, Ive been using Tvheadend for about two months with a SkyUK subscription. Up until this week when I refreshed the xmltv listings all had been working fine but now I have a lot of channels without listings. I have EIT turned off for all the channels and use tv_grab_dvb_plus manually to pull the skyuk epg data. The data pulled is then cleaned by removing the comments that are in the data. I then use tv_grab_file from within tvheadend to import the data. Even though I have confirmed that the data file contains the epg data for the missing channels tvheadend outputs the following:
Jan 30 15:21:53 xmltv: /usr/bin/tv_grab_file: Parsing completed. XML contained 940 channels, 123157 events, 0 new events injected in EPG
The channels in question are correctly mapped. I have attempted to remove the epg database totally and import the data from new but this hasn't helped.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

To anyone else having similar problems, I resolved this partly by luck I think. I removed the epgdata file from ~/.hts/tvheadend/ and also the contents of ~/.hts/tvheadend/channels/ and allowed tvheadend to rebuild them using the new xmltv data. All the channel mappings were kept and the data assigned itself to the correct channels again. Hope that helps someone.
