There's a massive thread on the Kodi forums about this grabber. It's best to check there, as the grabber is not really related to Tvheadend, per se. IIRC, it's mostly about changes to the way zap2it is handling logins.

My personal stance on this: pay the $25/yr for Schedules Direct instead of trying to scrape a website. You get actual support, instead of violating zap2it's TOS, and better consistent results in the end,

(I maintain my stance that LibreELEC—and OpenELEC before them—shipping modified Kodi and development versions of Tvheadend is bad for the community. If LE is shipping this grabber as part of their base install or hosting it, they should be blackballed by the Kodi developers and Tvheadend alike. If you want to pirate, go ahead and do so; but don't expect help from others in doing so.)

Zap2it doesn't seem to be complaining about it, so why are you injecting your unwanted opinion? Nobody asked you to moralize. It's because of guys like you that I make it a point to mention zap2xml in any thread I see where someone asks about that pay service you love so much. Are you a shill for them?

Unlike you, I have never considered using TV Listings that are provided FOR FREE as "piracy". If they don't want people using their listings I'm sure they have technical ways to prevent it, but I suspect you couldn't care less about zap2it except that they stand as a barrier to your preferred company getting rich selling Tvlistings. You're like a guy telling someone they are pirating air if they fill their tires at a gas station free air hose, but don't buy any gas. If the gas station cared they would charge for it, and some do, but no one cares if you think it's piracy if people avoid the coin-operated air hoses and only use the free ones. Zap2it wants people to come to their site, and I do often go there with my browser, and I doubt they hired YOU to discourage people from using their service. So I again ask, are you a shill for the pay service? If not, why do you care so much?

Well here is the thing, I hate LibreELEC and OpenELEC for different reasons, such as that they try very hard to keep you from doing anything at all in Linux. But if they were "blackballed" I have a feeling it would hurt Kodi and Tvheadend a lot more than it would hurt them, since they have a large community of very non-technical type users that would never be able to install and use Kodi or Tvheadend in the "normal" manner. But, some of those people would try to use Kodi or Tvheadend directly, find it a very daunting task, and start asking for support in forums like this one (where I know you'd be happy to give them bad answers, but I doubt the developers would be quite so overjoyed with having more support requests).

Save the moralizing for church, please. Nobody here cares, and I really doubt anyone will stop using a free alternative and start paying for listings just because you got on your high horse about it. If the definition of "piracy" is so low that using FREE listings is included, then I guess I'll go steal an eyepatch and a skull-and-crossbones hat! :P

The problem is, if you are using LibreELEC then you are not using the real zap2xml program, you are using someone's addon that is an adaptation of zap2xml. I use genuine zap2xml and I am not experiencing this issue. Unfortunately because LibreELEC doesn't give you access to the Linux command prompt, you can't install the real zap2xml from http://zap2xml.awardspace.info/ but if you could I would say start over by downloading the current version from there and reinstalling.

Because you are using someone's adaptation of zap2xml, you will not find help from the Zap2xml author and you probably won't find help at the Kodi site unless it is a thread specifically related to Libre/OpenELEC. You need to go to a LibreELEC support site or forum and ask there, because it's the author of the script.module.zap2xml addon that's going to have to fix this, especially if it's affecting multiple users. It's probably not a difficult fix but in the long run, if you can manage it, you'd be better off avoiding the *ELEC distributions just because you can't fix issues like this without waiting on someone else to address them. Not having full access to Linux isn't a big deal, until it is, and I'm pretty sure that if you could install and run the actual zap2xml program rather than that adaptation you would not be having this issue, because I know of two different systems running zap2xml under Ubuntu server and neither are experiencing this.

I wish I could help you, if only because I'm kind of p.o.'ed about the other reply you got, and if I could I would fix your issue myself. But unfortunately you have locked yourself into an ecosystem that very much does things in non-standard ways, and while I realize that a lot of people use those distros, the sad truth is that when things stop working right you pretty much have to deal with the creators of those distros (and the addon authors), because nobody who doesn't use their software knows what they've done, and what they've changed from the original programs. In the case of zap2xml specifically, the original program was written in Perl but in the dim recesses of my memory I recall that whoever created that addon converted it to Python (or some language other than the original), so even the original zap2xml author probably wouldn't recognize the code.

Please upgrade to the 0.7.5 release and see if that solves the issue.

Thank you!

Also - as mentioned above - it is best to write issues on the LE forum or the github page. :-)
