Description

Hello,

The last build available on Cloudsmith for Debian 12 Bookworm is 4.3-2098~g44bf691ac (2023-02-21T04:33:37+0000)

The builds are still being made for Ubuntu and other Debian versions... just bookworm seems stuck.

I upgraded my system from Debian 11 Bullseye to Debian 12 Bookworm, which made me downgrade tvheadend from 4.3-2141~gc531383ca~bullseye to 4.3-2098~g44bf691ac~bookworm

Thanks.

Yes, I second this. As of 15 November 2023, the most recent Cloudsmith build for bookworm is 8 months and 3 weeks old (https://cloudsmith.io/~tvheadend/repos/tvheadend/packages/?sort=-date&q=distribution%3Adebian+AND+distribution%3Abookworm+AND+architecture%3Aamd64&page=1). I've been wanting to upgrade my OS to bookworm, but am waiting because I don't want to have to downgrade TVheadend. TVheadend devs, please build updated bookworm packages for the Cloudsmith repo.

There are no devs left. If you want it fixed look at why the build fails and provide a fix. I'd guess that updating ffmpeg is the solution here, but not sure.

Do we have a suggested solution to FFMPEG here. I wonder if this PR could be worked on by someone who had the required coding skills and finalised. It looks like it might be required quickly. https://github.com/tvheadend/tvheadend/pull/1522

Just update to the latest ffmpeg 5.x version in the Makefile. The other PR is completely independent from that.

@Computer Worm: Maybe build it by yourself, did that few minutes ago and its working fine ;-) Build without ffmpeg on RPI5, don`t need that but even with ffmpeg building is ok.

It's fixed! I'm not sure who to thank for thank for that (probably wywywywy for their recent commits related to cloudsmith) but it's fixed :) This bug can be closed.
