Description

Hi,

Subtitles of all TV1000 channels being shown incorrectly whenever the Baltic symbols are used.
A few years ago I used to get these channels from 4.8E SAT, now I'm getting it from a DVB-T provider.
Regardless of the source, I have the same issue.

I tried changing character set in network settings but it didn't help.
Tried Auto, UTF-8, ISO-8859-13, etc.

Please let me know if any additional information is required.

Thanks

Just opened the stream with VLC and noticed it uses Teletext for subtitles.
No idea how to check which locale VLC uses for the subtitles, but VLC represents it correctly.

For whatever reason, I can't attach the sample video

Teletext subtitles are decoded by player and not modified by TVH.
In Network settings there is a EPG encoding in IEC_8859 format

  • Status changed from New to Invalid

Tvheadend is just passing it through, most likely an issue with the client.
