Description

Hi all,

My Synology-based HTS Tvheadend running 4.4.20181215 has been working perfectly for, oh, 2 years now. Recently my DS3617xs running DSM 6.1.4-15217 Update 1 prompted me to upgrade my FFMPEG to 4.2.2-28 and promptly everything stopped working. The EPG is loading, the server is responding to my Kodi client, but there's no TV tab in Kodi anymore. If I disable the server, Kodi complains that it can't see it, I re-enable it and Kodi sees it again, but no TV.

If I go into the EPG via a web browser communicating on port 9981, I can see all the programs and their progress, but when I click the TV button to play one of the streams, I get "Loading..." for a while, and then "An unknown error occurred.".

I am no unix expert, and it was miraculous I ever got this working to begin with. I have no idea how to create an error log that might help me understand what's going wrong. I don't know how to revert the FFMPEG to the previous working version.

Can anyone please point me to an appropriate post where someone else has had a similar problem? I don't even know how to search for something even remotely similar to what I’m seeing. Each search I've done with Google has turned up posts that I ether don't understand or I can't connect with how it could be helpful to what I’m seeing here.

The ports for TVHeadend are all still open and seem to be working fine. The Internet connection is excellent. I really have no idea of where to even begin to look at what's gone wrong here. Any help would be very much appreciated.

The Version you mentioned does not exist. Also please use the Forum for questions, if you broke something by installing an incompatible ffmpeg version that is not a bug but rather expected behavior.
