Description

Can someone please explain me the functions "Network limit per position" and "Network group" in the parameters of a SAT>IP tuner under "expert settings"?

I do not find documentation for this and the help is very poor...

Thank you!

I tried to fix the description here:

https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/repository/revisions/7d3aa11940ac7aec1238a16264c73b366970b27b/diff/src/input/mpegts/satip/satip_satconf.c

It's for the special case where you have more satellite positions, but the coaxial wiring is limited. I added this for my satip-axe firmware with minisatip which supports the 'free input mode' - you can connect any inputs to one of four physical F-connectors and the hardware is able to use all four integrated tuners on the connected inputs.

I think I got it, but I'm not sure.

Thanks!
