Description

Currently, if the subscriptions on the smart card inserted into a CA module which is used by TVHeadend, it is near to impossible to update the subscriptions on the card as TVHeadend will stop sending TS packets to the CA/DDCI device after a few seconds if descrambling by the CAM fails.

Operators often tell their customers to trigger a reactivation of their smart card via their web portal through the customer's account. When doing so, customers are advised to switch to a (often scrambled) channel to receive card updates to be written to the smart card, and stay on that channel for up to two hours. This is not possible with TVHeadend at the moment, as it will stop sending data to the CAM after a few seconds if it doesn't get properly descrambled data back.

TVHeadend should get a feature which allows to do this.
