Feature #4523
SAT>IP: Remove padding
0%
Description
Hi,
Doing the testing for fixing the bug related to RTP/AVP/TCP Interlaved transport (#4226), I see that inside the TCP stream a lot of padding TS packets are transmitted.
Please, can you add the option (in SAT>IP expert configuration) for remove padding packets when using the Interlaved TCP transport? It will removes unused data in the TCP channel.
I feel it can be also useful to add it for regular RTP streaming. However, I suggest to make both options independent in the SAT>IP configuration if you add it as well.
Regards

Hi,
You will implement a method for discarding the padding packets?
Thank you!

Hi,
No one interested on remove the padding (NULL PID 0x1FFF)?
I feel that the internal pid filtering process when sending the SAT>IP stream doesn't remove the padding stuff.

It is not removed only when you do full mux streaming. In all other cases are unwanted PIDs filtered.
